Tender Mercies

- Verse -

….But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.

Tender mercies received from the Lord

Tender and caring gifts of Godly love

Conferred tokens of faith’s reward

Bestowed on me from heaven above

Tender mercies created  for me

Reprieves from my daily strains

Tender amnesties that set me free

To fight the foe and break his chains

Tender mercies of blessed deliverance

To endow my soul when I grieve

Love, mercy and grace He grants

As to tender mercies I cleave

Tender mercies to engage and employ

 As I study, ponder, and pray

Tender tads of truth to savor and enjoy

Tender yes, but strong to seize the day

May God’s tender mercies bestow

Respite from my suffering and travail

Eternal mercies that affirm and show

Tender mercies reach beyond the Veil
